Picked up computer. San Antonio is beautiful. Saw the Alamo. Toured the Riverwalk. Got home. Computer wouldn't start. Called support. Have to take it back to Austin because it wasn't fixed. A day well spent.

Yay, we're about to leave for Austin to rescue my valiant computer from the Gateway repair shop. From Austin, we're going to drive a bit south and go see the Alamo, since neither of us has ever been. My one wish is that the tour guide will make us say "Adoooooobe." I would die laughing, but it probably won't happen. Or maybe I should ask our guide where the basement is. ;-) I've seen more of Texas in the last three weeks than I have in the entire time I've been living here.

Today was interesting. I watched lots of stuff on CNN about the anti-war protests on college and highschool campuses for the "Books not Bombs" thing. And in his Ash Wednesday address, the Pope discouraged the war, which was most spiffy indeed. It was music to a Mennonite's ears. :-D Elie Wiesel was on later and said that he actually supports the war, even though he usually speaks for pacifism. That was kind of odd.
And how about that guy being arrested at a mall because he was wearing a tshirt that said "Give Peace a Chance"?! lol one person on CNN wrote in, "I hope we intend to force a better brand of democracy on Iraq than we have here in America."
I'm really excited about Parma, which is coming along even better than we'd hoped. People are sending in stories and reviewing and just generally making it well worth all the work put into it. It's very, very encouraging. :-D
Two more days, two more classes, then... weekend! beloved computer! spring break! *dances*

Gateway called today to tell me that my computer is already fixed. lol I was shocked because it's only been two days, and they told me it would take two weeks. I can't pick it up until this weekend, but it's still great news to know that it's all fixed and waiting for me. And joy of all joys, I'm going to go back to working at the gas station! *jigs... kinda* Seriously, it'll be good to have a job again.
