Main register on Friday night, with a coworker who talked on the phone in the office the entire time. Mmmm, fun.
Mollness and Alyssa both have lovely new layouts.

So I parked in a lot across from my class to see a professor for a few minutes, and when I got back, my car had been towed away. And I got to pay $100 that I didn't have to get it back. Tonight I get to work 5-midnight, and I don't have a day off till Tuesday. lol so life continues to be enjoyable.

In the ongoing epic saga of DeeDee's boring life, went to the Oxford class today, where we started C.S. Lewis' Perelandra. I don't like science fiction, but luckily this book is more philosophy. Also had no work, so that was nice. Let's see... I know I'm forgetting something... nope! That about sums it up. Now I shall watch Conan.

Got the first of my 8-page papers back today, the St. Francis one that I wrote way back in the old days when I still had my computer. And I made an A on it! :-D lol I almost forgot what that feels like. Pre-Raphaelites was dull as usual. We talked about Swinburne and his themes of "death and sex." In about an hour I have to go to work, joy of joys. Gateway called and said that my computer is fixed (already? for real this time...?), but I don't know when I'll be able to go pick it up. And that is about all I have to say.

rotflmao... Just read my blogs from March 24 last year:
*looks at post below* At least I'm consistent...?The Oscars are almost halfway over. LotR was ROBBED in the art design category. I know it has two more years to win this award, and that Moulin Rouge was a creative achievement that only had this one year to win, but STILL. Arg. I'm thinking of gorgeous Rivendell and Lothlorien.... the huge scale models of Minas Tirith.... the Shire.... Sorry, LotR should have WON this category.

Got to work with my old coworker Stephanie last night, so that was nice. I really miss the old store, but at least I have a job. Tonight I work 6-midnight, then I have to write a bibliography and outline for class tomorrow. Yayness.
Shan taped the Oscars, so I was able to watch them last night when I got home. I couldn't believe that one guy who went off and got booed off the stage. I mean, obviously I'm against the war too, but this show was being broadcast to the troops who are over there risking their lives for his ungrateful self. Whether you're against the war or not, you should have respect for them.
I was really glad that Nicole Kidman won best actress for The Hours, but not too happy that Chicago beat TTT in best art design. Hmmm, let's see... Edoras, built on a remote mountain over a period of eight months, or a piano on a stage? A piano on a stage! And once again, the genius of Thomas Newman is ignored. Ah well, silly Academy. At least I got to see Sean and Barrie Osborne. I read that Andy Serkis was there also, but I didn't see him.
I saw Catch Me if You Can at the dollar theater a few nights ago, and it was very, very good. It's one of those movies that have you grinning from ear to ear when you leave the theater. =)

One year ago today, I met Alyssa, blue, and Clare. What a year it's been, but thanks to them and a few others I've met, I can look back on it and think of good things. So many bad things have happened since then, but the good things (which were almost everything) are what I'll remember. Isn't it weird how you remember the good things too late? I guess things can never be what they were, but while it lasted it meant a lot to me. I only have one real regret, and I suppose that's not bad for a whole year.march 23, 2002 | 10:01 pm
I've been chatting for a long time with a crazy group of girls who crack me up.So if any of them are reading this, thank you for all the times you listened to me, helped me, and made me laugh. Thank you for all the chats and yahoo games, the away message spamming, and the Aragorn/Arwen jokes. Thank you for all the times you forgave me. Thank you for all the times you bore my rambling and excitement over new LotR trailers and pictures. Thank you for Nilram, and thank you for Rian. Thanks for most of what was good about this past year, and thanks in advance for much of what will be good about this next year.
On a lighter note, I found this from the same day: "Happy happy joy joy!! I just found out that our theater will have LotR next Friday, so I get to see the trailer for The Two Towers! I'm so excited!" Ah, the first TTT preview after FotR.
*smiles with bittersweet nostalgia over . . . just everything*
