Last night was interesting. There was a huge storm at around 8:30, and it put out the power at work for two hours. My coworker and I had to lock up the store and sit in complete darkness. Our trash cans were blown around the parking lot, and the wind was so strong, it blew water through the tiny cracks in the door, so that our front doormat was soaked through. It was a cool storm, though, and I had a great view. :-D The rain died down a little, so I walked through the alley to our manager's house and got her to come over to the store. The power came back at 11:00, but we decided to keep the store closed and just clean up. So we got to leave work at 11:30.

Then I went to the theater to see the midnight showing of X2 with Shan. I hadn't seen the first movie, but the second one was surprisingly good! I might have to see the first one now. Ian and Hugh were greatness, of course. We were with a crowd of huge X-Men fans, I guess, because they clapped more during the movie than any audience I've been with. And some guy actually proposed to his girlfriend while we were waiting for the movie to start. She said yes, and everyone gave them a standing ovation. It was a true Geekmoot. ;-)

Hmmm.... since this is basically what I'm doing anyway, I'm going to answer the Thursday Thumb-Twiddler.

1. To what organization do you feel the deepest loyalty? What ties you most to that group?
Does the Church count as an organization? If not, probably the Seamless Garment Network, because I admire their consistency.

2. Would you euthanize your healthy, happy pet for $50k? How about $1 million?
Erm... *ducks and says in small voice* ....yes? I'm just being honest, folks. I can buy an awful lot of successors for Stupid Fish II with $50k.

3. Of all the US presidents during your lifetime, which one is/was your favorite?
Ugh, all the presidents during my lifetime have basically sucked. But since I was born in 1979, I'll say Jimmy Carter. He had more integrity than every president that has come after him. My favorite president in terms of Saturday Night Live enjoyment would have to be Bill Clinton. ;-)

And just because I'm bored beyond belief, here's another pointless survey thing that I got in an email.

In your movie collection...
Funniest: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Scariest: lol um... I guess From Hell
Saddest: Charlotte's Web. Don't laugh, I'm being serious! :'(
Silliest: lmao The Viking Queen
Most Romantic: Roman Holiday
Most Childish: The Care Bears Movie! I'm not ashamed!
Longest: Pride and Prejudice
You Always Recommend... Oscar and Lucinda
And Your Favorite? LotR :D

Today is a great, great day: the last class meeting of Pre-Raphaelites! *does the dance of joy* And I want to see this.

New layout with Conan and his cool hair, but unfortunately I still don't have anything to say really. Life continues boringly and stressfully, yet charmingly. I have to edit the final draft of my Pre-Raphaelite paper tonight and start soon on my last paper, an 8-pager due Monday -- which is also the last day of class. *dances* And that's about all I have to say.

Oh wait, no it isn't. Last night, Hugh Jackman was on Jay Leno. Hugh Jackman with long hair. It was rarness beyond any description I can attempt. The End.
