Choi has a fantabulous new layout, and TORN has finally posted my poor little review of TTT. Looking back at it, I can't for the life of me remember why I only put four rings for Sean - maybe I just clicked the wrong thing? *looks blankly* lol I also found my pathetic review of FotR, which says basically... nothing. And I don't know what drug was influencing me to say that the changes to Arwen deserved four rings, so don't ask. I s'pose I was just thinking of the bonus Viggo rarness. *angel smiley*
Speaking of Viggo, I went to Books a Million with my parents and Martha, and my mom found the issue of Flaunt magazine with Viggo on the cover, and all those spiffy sand pictures inside. It is now my precioussss. :-D
My mom and two neighbors spent yesterday afternoon putting new wallpaper in our kitchen, so our whole house smells like wallpaper pastey stuff. Awww and Shan told me that Clare sent me a yellow submarine postcard from Liverpool, and my present from Alyssa is waiting on my desk! *jumps about* I can't wait two-and-a-half weeeeeks! :'-(
In other news, Alyssa is a future card-carrying member of the NRA, blue wants to see Eomer and Legolas mud-wrestling, and I now secretly live at Choi's house. Don't tell her family, it's a secret.

Dunno if this is true or if it's the same false rumor that was being spread last month, but IMDB reported today:
"British acting knight Sir Ian McKellen will replace the late Richard Harris as Professor Albus Dumbledore in the third Harry Potter movie. The 63-year-old star, who also plays wizard Gandalf in the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, is set to appear in the third installments of both rival films - after signing to take on the role of the Hogwarts headmaster in Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban."I hope it's true! *crosses fingers*Posted by DeeDee @ 01:12 PM

Well here I am still in Mississippi. Called my manager today and quit my job for purposes of family and grades, and classes don't start till Jan 13th, so I'll be home till around the 10th. Took my sisters shopping, bought two magazines and The Bell Jar. Now I'm really tired, so bed is my friend.

I got a beautimous Eowyn sign from Alyssa. *clings to it* And since it's past midnight, this is the day I have to leave home. :'-(

I just watched a commercial for a gadget called the "Ding King." I kid you not. Only $29.95 plus shipping. Anyone interested?

What Lord of the Rings Male and Mood Do You Desire?Aragorn is greatness. :'-( And so is Viggo.
I don't want to go back to Texas. Ten days of warmth and being with your favorite people in the world kind of make you unwilling to give it up again for Hell.

So many lovely signs! Aragorn of rarness from Moll, more Aragorn of complete rarness from Lily, and a purdy sign from Shan-o.
I had a nice Christmas Eve. I played a ruthless game of Monopoly with my siblings, opened presents, and saw TTT with my mom and sisters. Now I'm watching a Christmas Story marathon on TNT. :-D Randy is my hero.

Finally there are pictures of Orli in his pirate costume. :-D Mmm, long hair, open shirt, legs... this certainly looks like a movie I could sit through happily.

If you'd like to see someone completely mangle and distort a wonderful, sweet character, read this guy's analysis of Faramir - tough, threatening interrogator who employs the tricks of pretend kindness and reverse psychology. Ah yes.

Eeeee, so many wonderful Christmasy gifts! *clings to Choiness and blueby* And my brother gave me a "Happy Kwanzaa" card, which is just... touching. He gave my sisters the cheesiest cards I've ever seen in my life. They had stuff like, "Dear Sister, through the years, through all the times of joy and sorrow..." He was pretending to wipe tears from his eyes as we read them out loud, and we were all dying with laughter. Then he did the thing I look forward to every Christmas - his perfect impression of the kid with goggles in A Christmas Story. "I like the Wizard of Oz. I like the Tinman." It was a powerful holiday moment.

Awwww! *clings to Gollum* I love how Elijah makes Frodo tear up when he sees Gollum being sweet, like he has hope for himself when he sees Gollum trying to overcome the Ring.

So I wanted to make my blog less dark and gloomy, and I chose Gollum for my layout. *shakes head* One day I'll make sense of myself, I hope. Choi found this glorious fashion statement on Ebay, and I'm feart of whoever it was that bid on it. And look at the beautimous Christmas sign that Ceri made for me! *points* Aragoooorn! Ceri also has a pretty new TTT layout. :-D

Orlando Bloom had a really cool, smart, and wonderful father.
Harry Bloom was a lawyer and friend of Nelson Mandela. His most famous novel, "Episode in Transvaal," was a South African bestseller, and its anti-racism message resulted in imprisonment. Bloom left for England in 1962. In 1964, in an article for an English Jewish publication, he eloquently described the complexities of being a South African Jew in opposition to his government. Sadly, Orlando was only 4 years old when his father died at age 68.

Saw TTT again with my brother. We had a great audience this time - mostly hyper teenage boys who seemed to be big LotR fans. They didn't laugh at Gollum's serious moments, and they were yelling and cheering when the Ents stormed Isengard. It was most spiffy.
I find it rather sad and ironic that after the movie either ruined or almost deleted their characters' roles, people are joining my Faramir and Eomer fanlists now. I used to get like one application a week, and now I get several a day for each list. I bet some of them don't even know how great Faramir and Eomer really are. :'-(
Everyone needs to go see Choi's gingerbread men of the Fellowship, for they are greatness. And a beautimous Christmas sign from Clare!
I miss everyone. *clings*

Erm... this layout will not be here long. It's too dark and gloomy. Being the layout strumpet I am, I just had to change it to something new quick, and this was all I could come up with. Sad. I kinda miss that cute Orli picture, but it had to go. SNL was the great one with Ian McKellen, and I couldn't watch it with my friendses. Then I came online and everyone's gone, lying down or sick or sleeping, and stuff. I'm all alone. :'-(
Eeeeeeeee, and just as I was about to click 'add this entry,' Alyssa signed on! *dances about*

Stole this TTT survey from the most spiffy Bianca...
Have you read the book? Yep
When did you see TTT? the night it opened, 3 times so far
Who did you see it with? my mother and sisters, then just my sisters. tomorrow I'm going with my brother. :-D
Did you keep your ticket stub? Yep!
Did you dress up or wear something LOTRish? lol no, but there was a girl at our theater dressed as Galadriel
Favorite character based on looks? looks alone? being purely shallow here? Legolas. mmmm.
Favorite character based on personality? Aragorn
Least favorite character based on looks? Wormtongue
Least favourite character based on personality? Wormtongue
Favorite extra? Eomer, I guess, since they made him little more than an extra. :-/
Favourite CGI character? Gollum, of course
Favourite beast? does Shadowfax count?
Most evolved character since FOTR? Merry
Least evolved character since FOTR? Arwen
Best newcomer character? Gollum
Pleasantly surprised by which character? Legolas
Least pleasantly surprised by which character? Faramir
Best actor award? Viggo Mortensen
Best actress award? was there a main actress? lol
Best supporting actor? Andy Serkis
Best supporting actress? Miranda Otto
Favorite scene? "Forth Eorlingas" and Gandalf charging down the hill with the Rohirrim
Why? Because the music is my favorite track on the score, and the cinematography of Gandalf charging down the hill in white with all those horses behind him, and the sunlight behind them... eeeek, it gives me chills! *gets chills just thinking about it*
Least favorite scene? the Arwen dream
Frodo/Sam/Gollum, Aragorn/Legolas/Gimli/Gandalf or Merry/Pippin scene chemistry? Frodo, Sam, and Gollum, definitely - so much complexity and tension.
Favorite funny line? Gah I can't pick just one! "That one counts as mine!!" "You could have picked a better spot." "I won't have a pointy-ear outscoring me!!!" "Toss me, Aragorn. Don't tell the Elf." "You're late... you look terrible." "Don't talk to it, Merry. Don't encourage it!" "What's taters, Precious? What's taters?" "No, I'm his gardener."
Favorite serious line? "The fires of Isengard will spread, and the bridges of Buckland and Tuckborough will burn. And all that was once great and good in this world will be gone. There won't be a Shire, Pippin."
Favorite stunt? the shield-surfing was pretty damn cool
Favorite track? "Forth Eorlingas," no competition
Least favorite track? lol "The Taming of Smeagol," I guess, since it doesn't particularly move me, and all the other tracks do
Favorite costume? Eowyn's white dress
Did you cry? not really, just teared up
How many times? when Frodo first calls Gollum by his name, when Aragorn's body becomes that statue and Arwen's veil is blowing in the wind (when Elrond says, "...but you, my daughter..." it gives me chills), when Frodo points the sword at Sam, and when Gandalf charges down the hill with the Rohirrim
When Haldir died? nah
Did you spot PJ's cameo? lmao yes, with the wild men
Biggest surprise about the movie? the vast improvement of Legolas, and the odd disappearance of Eowyn - what happened to all that footage of her defending the people in the caves? *sighs and waits for extended dvd*
Was it better than FOTR? ohhh yes.
Did you get a fright? Where? nah
Did you clap out loud at anything in the movie? What? nope, but I wanted to clap when the Ents storm Isengard, that was greatness
Anything disappointing about it? Faramir and the absence of that panorama with Eowyn on the terrace of Edoras. It was in like every trailer, and it was my favorite scene :'-(
Thing you were most looking forward to seeing? Eowyn and Gollum
If you could change ONE thing about the movie, what would it be? Faramir
Would you see it again? lol silly question
How many times? countless, precioussss, we loves it.Posted by DeeDee @ 02:08 AM
