ABOUT CHIWETEL EJIOFOR


Born in London in 1974 to Nigerian parents, Chiwetel Ejiofor (chew-ih-tell edge-ee-o-for) was a member of the National Youth Theatre and attended Dulwich College. His acting quickly made an impression on audiences and critics in the theater and cinema alike. He can be funny (Kinky Boots), dramatic (Dirty Pretty Things), and villainous (Serenity). But no matter what the role calls for, he is elegant and charismatic.

In 2001, he won the London Critics Circle Theatre Award and the Evening Standard Theatre Award, and was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for his work in the play Blue/Orange.
